Eurovision song contest

The best performance were by Goran Bregovic with his Wedding and Funeral Orchestra in the middle act. Outstanding if you ask me. If you don't ask me I say it anyway ...

Check them out for yourself.

Stockholm today

Facing south
Facing west
Facing north
Facing east

On my way to the LYS from the train station I crossed a bridge (S:t Eriksbron) and I took pics in all four directions for you to enjoy.

New bargains

Visited my mother today and I just couldn't resist to visit Stickbutiken (LYS). Lucky for me there were a couple of skeins left at a real bargain price. You can check out Vienna and Vivaldi on the website of Garnstudio.

Thai it - you'll like it.

I watched Rachael Ray on morning TV and I got inspired. The Tiger prawns doesn't look particularly apitizing before cooking, but boy were they good afterwards. Yummy! Unfortunately food is one of the hardest things to take pictures of, to make it look as apetizing as it actually is - that's not easy. I tried, but it looked like a technicolour yawn on the plate so I deleted it. Anyway, junior and I loved it.

Under my umbrella - ella - ella ...

I'm studdering because it's so darned cold. Thermometre says 6 degrees and it's raining. I should have worn mittens on my walk. I'll have to get me a cup of tea to warm my hands on ...

Look what the postman brought yesterday!

More inspiration for future projects, yippieeeeeeeee!

I'm a spice girl, I like ginger ...

Look what I found at my local grocer's store today. The aroma is so nice together with the fresh Thyme and Basil and it will make the food to be done later taste fantastic.

Relaxation before dinner is necessary. The favorite mug filled with good white tea, a couple of ginger cookies bought at The English Shop in Stockholm and then time for some knitting.

Patterns for new projects

Check out Elann's website. This cardi is part of my plans for the future. http://www.elann.com/freepatterns.asp

Or the gorgeous red sweater at Kertzer. http://www.kertzer.com/Downloads/FREEPatterns/tabid/111/Default.aspx

But I promise. I WILL finish my other ongoing projects first ;-)

Not good - good!

I've been a little under the weather for about a week. Last weekend we had lovely Summerlike weather and now it's cooler than normal for May. Not good for aching joints and muscles, nor for the sinuses. Going to the Doc later today, I need a sicknote for work. Hard to do my job as a telephonist with headaches and dizzyness.

Staying at home for a couple of days gives me time to go through all the projects I've had going on for quite a while. I'm the typical occational knitter and tend to start things and then I get bored from them when they're almost done. Anyway, I've decided to finish them off one by one before I start up a new one. Allthough it has to be said, I have plans. Both for my stash and the yarns I'm buying. I am a yarnoholic, I confess ...

Pics above show the projects in my basket. Cuffs with pearls, a long scarf (stole) peacock lace, an even longer scarf in kind of a "fence" lace (very easy to make) and of course the socks you can see further down. I've just finished a sweater for Julia, one of my sisters grand daughters. I hope to get a picture of her with it on shortly as I've just sent it for her without taking a pic of it.

Birth of a sock ...

Fabel from Garnstudio is wonderful for socks.

Pictures from Stockholm

These pictures were taken yesterday when I took a walk in our beautiful city. I was on my way from work to the Indian Food Center nearby to get some spices and other things.

Chyawanprash, green tea and nutmegs, lip balm and coconut oil.
